Who Does the Work
We're based right in Hutto, at 106 East St, and that's where the trucks roll out from every morning. This isn't a call center routing you to whoever's closest - it's a crew that works this town and the roads around it, day in and day out. We don't advertise a founding year or a headcount because neither one fixes a broken spring. What matters is that the person who answers the phone at (737) 450-3769 knows the kind of door you probably have, because we've seen most of the variations already.
Hutto's housing runs from places built back in 1957 up through new construction finished in 2018, with the median build year landing around 1984. That spread matters. A house from the late '50s or '60s often still has its original hardware, or a patchwork of replacements from whoever worked on it last. A house from the 2010s has a different opener, different track spacing, different everything. We don't treat every job like it's the same door, because in this town it almost never is.
What We Actually Do
Most of what we see falls into a few categories: broken torsion springs, openers that have stopped responding or grind instead of lift, rollers and tracks that have worn out or bent, and cables that have frayed or snapped. On the 1980s and '90s stock that makes up most of Hutto's nine named areas, we run into a lot of aging extension springs and openers nearing the end of their service life - not broken yet, but close.
We also do straight-up door replacement when a repair isn't worth it. If a steel panel is rusted through or a wood door has swelled and warped past square, patching it is a short-term move. We'll tell you when that's the case instead of running up a bill on a door that's done.
What we don't do: we're not a handyman service for unrelated garage work, and we don't carry every obscure opener model on the truck - some parts for older or less common units take a few days to source. That's a real limitation, not a brush-off, and we'd rather tell you upfront than promise same-day on a part we don't have.
Where We Travel
Hutto is home base, but the truck doesn't stay parked
We cover the surrounding area out to roughly a 20-mile radius.
Distance changes how fast we can get there, not whether we'll come
If you're closer to Hutto proper, expect a quicker turnaround than if you're out toward Bartlett or Jarrell. We're upfront about that on the phone so you're not guessing.
What Happens After You Call
Call (737) 450-3769 and you'll talk to someone who asks what the door is doing - won't open, opens partway and stops, makes a bang and then nothing, that kind of thing. That gets us most of the way to knowing what's broken before we ever pull into the driveway.
On site, we diagnose first and quote before any work starts. If it's a spring, cable, or roller job, that's usually same-visit work. If a part is unusual or has to be ordered - which happens more with older or imported openers - we'll say so and give you a realistic timeline instead of a vague one.
Hutto's median household income sits around $86,477 across roughly 33,440 households, with 17,911 of those owner-occupied houses. We mention that only because it shapes what we stock on the truck - common torsion spring sizes, standard roller and cable setups, the openers that actually get installed in this area's housing stock. We're not guessing at what Hutto homeowners need; we're working off what's actually out there.
